"Roméo Lavia is recovering well, which is fantastic news. He is a talented player competing at a high level. In terms of my current midfield options, we have Enzo Fernández, Moi Caicedo, Andrey Santos, and Reece James—all solid choices.
"I’ve been very clear on my stance: I don’t want to bring in players who won’t enhance our group or disrupt the chemistry we’re building. Thus, we need to be very selective about new signings at this juncture. If we do decide to bring in someone, they must have a clearly defined impact on the team."
In a separate incident, Chelsea has been fined £150,000 due to a water bottle thrown towards Aston Villa's coaching staff and substitutes following the club's 2-1 loss. Unfortunately, neither Chelsea nor the Football Association could identify the individual responsible after reviewing CCTV footage.
