Winter Fun Awaits at Loyal Heights Community Center!
The cold season doesn't have to be dull! Loyal Heights Community Center is offering a fantastic opportunity to brighten up your winter days with a range of exciting classes and programs. But hurry, spots are filling fast!
For the Young Dancers:
Pre-Ballet (Ages 6-8): Mondays, 1/5-2/9, 4-4:45 pm. Cost: $70. This class is a delightful introduction to ballet, where kids learn the basics through creative games and choreography. Don't forget your ballet shoes and water bottle! (No class on 1/19)
Ballet (Ages 9-12): Mondays, 1/5-2/9, 5-6 pm. Cost: $80. Time to refine those ballet skills! Participants will enhance their technique, vocabulary, and creativity through engaging Barre and center work. Ballet slippers or bare feet are all you need, along with a water bottle. (No class on 1/19)
For the Minecraft and LEGO® Enthusiasts:
- Bricks for Kids: Mining and Crafting Mid-Winter Camp: Tuesday-Friday, 9:15 am-12:15 pm. Cost: $275. Here's a unique blend of two beloved worlds! Kids will explore Minecraft through building and crafting with LEGO® bricks, tackling new engineering challenges each day.
For Young Athletes and Musicians:
Lil Hot Shots Basketball (Ages 6-7): Mondays, 1/12-3/2, 4-5 pm. Cost: $121. A great way to introduce kids to basketball! They'll learn the fundamentals, teamwork, and enjoy friendly scrimmages. (No class on 1/19 & 2/16)
Music Mondays for Families (Ages 5 and under): Mondays, 1/5-1/26, 4:30-5:30 pm. Cost: $45. Sing, dance, and play as a family! This class fosters creativity and a love for music while introducing kids to various instruments. (No class on 1/19)
Wednesday Evening Fun:
- Wonderful Wednesday (Ages 3-8): Wednesdays, 1/7-1/26, 5:15-8:15 pm. Cost: $40. A dedicated playtime for younger kids to have fun and make new friends under supervision.
Teens and Adults, It's Your Turn:
Beginning Fencing (Ages 15+): Mondays, 6:30-9 pm, 1/12-3/16. Cost: $105. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this class offers instruction and practice sparring. Equipment is provided for those new to the sport. (No class on 1/19 & 2/16)
Intermediate Fencing (Ages 15+): Mondays, 6:30-9 pm, 1/14-3/18. Cost: $130. Take your fencing skills to the next level with advanced technique, footwork, and strategy lessons. Long pants and athletic shoes are recommended.
Shorin-Ryu Karate (Ages 9+): Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:45-8:15 pm. Cost: $90. Discover the ancient art of Okinawan karate, improving self-defense, fitness, and focus. (No class on 1/19 & 2/16)
Mom Zen Yoga (Ages 18+): Thursdays, 1/15-2/12, 9:30-10:30 am. Cost: $90. Moms, this one's for you! Unwind, recharge, and connect with your body through mindful yoga in a supportive environment.
Pickleball Skills and Drills (Ages 18+): Fridays, 1/9-3/27, 10:15-11:15 am. Cost: $120. Learn the ins and outs of pickleball, a fun and social sport. Perfect for beginners, so grab your racquet and water bottle!
