Yummy Taste Tests and UMW Cookbook Pre-Sale – June 7th

The ladies of Bethesda United Methodist Women will be hosting a recipe sampling with free taste tests at the June 7th Wednesday Night Supper. Each samples will be made from recipes that will be found in the new cookbook, Feeding the Flock. They will also be taking pre-sale orders for the cookbook. Make sure to order yours! Come ready to enjoy dinner and the music of Larry Holcomb and friends then stop by the UMW table for some great samples and to place your order for this awesome cookbook!

Bethesda’s UMW Cookbook still needs more of your recipes!

Bethesda UMW is publishing a new cookbook.  We need your favorite recipes!  Got a good recipe for GRILLING....MICROWAVE....CROCK-POT....DESSERTS....SALADS....? Whatever your favorite is we will have a place in the cookbook for it! Instruction sheets/forms are available in the Fellowship Hall along with a box to return them when completed.  Deadline to submit recipes is May 25th. Gwinnett Relay For Life 2017

Gwinnett Relay For Life 2017 may have been a rain-out just a few hours into the event but the spirits of our team were not dampened! We celebrated the survivors on our team and in our church family. Our booth not only brought joy to many through our Crazy Hair styles and Crazy Hat fashions but we raised money to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Think that sometimes your act of kindness goes unnoticed? Well, think again. People do notice and this time it was definitely appreciated! Keep up those Acts of Kindness members of Bethesda UMC! You are a wonderful part of this community! On Thursday, May 4 amid Teacher Appreciation Week, cookies made by the Open Hearts Class were delivered to the teachers at Bethesda Elementary and all others working there.  We received thank you notes from some of them expressing how much it meant to them and how it brightened their day and week. Agape Circle UMW Mtg – Tuesday, March 14 – 6:30 p.m.

All women are invited to the Agape Circle meeting to join us in our mission work. We will welcome guest speaker, Sonia Benel who will demonstrate how to make sleep mats out of recyclable plastic bags. She will be talking to us about the ministry at the Village of Hope in Lawrenceville and how these mats are given to the homeless in our area along with other support for their well-being. Bethesda UMC is going to have a float in the Lawrenceville Christmas Parade! We are creating a Gingerbread Church for our very first float in Lawrenceville's very first Christmas Parade. Lawrenceville Christmas Parade - Friday, December 2, 2016 - parade starts at 7:00 p.m. in historic downtown Lawrenceville and will end at the Lawrenceville Lawn where there will be lots of fun activities! UMW Agape Circle Meeting – Tuesday, Nov 15, 6:30

UMW Agape Circle Meeting - November 15, 2016 at 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall We will be making homemade greeting cards for Joy Seekers, Missionaries, Soldiers and for yourself. We will have 27 sets of 9 different cards. All you have to do is bring your imagination and be prepared to glue and stamp your way to a beautiful set of cards!
