The Angel Three

 The Angel Tree Project this year is for Village of Hope.    Instead of specified gifts, you are free to buy whatever you would like for boys and girls of all ages.  All unwrapped gifts have to be returned to the church by this Sunday, December 17th.   Also we are collecting gloves, hats and socks.   Thank you in advance for donating to this very worthy cause.  For question, see or call Judy Wood.  770-843-5661.

Bethesda’s Funniest Videos

January 10th is our kick-off for Wednesday Night Dinner and Programs.  This year’s theme is “Bethesda’s Funniest  Videos”.  To make this evening successful, we really need your help.  If you have any short (1-2 minutes long) videos of yourself, family members, church members or friends that you would like to share, please e-mail them to the church office.  I am sure there will be a lot of videos made during this Christmas season, so help us out by recording some funny stuff and e-mail Athel at athelmorris@bethesdaunited.org.  

FIRST SMALL GROUP STUDY OF 2018!

  You’re invited to join Pastor Dana in this thought provoking, cutting edge four-week DVD study: Way of Life, A Study Based on The Great Spiritual Migration: How the World’s Largest Religion Is Seeking a Better Way to Be Christian by Brian McClaren. EVENTS IN DECEMBER:    December’s Mission Project – The Angel Tree for The Village of Hope will be up this Sunday decorated with Angels.  Each Angel will have a child's name and Christmas gift they would like to receive.  Everyone is invited to stop by and take one or more Angels, purchase the items and return them to the church (return date and other instructions will be publicized later this week. Fifth Sunday Worship and Fall Festival

Join us this Sunday, October 29th for Fifth Sunday Worship in Song at 10:30am in the Sanctuary and our annual Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat immediately following the service at which time you all are invited to come have hotdogs with us.  Games will open up at 12:30pm and the Trunk or Treat will be at 2:00pm.   It's not too late to bring in candy donations.  If you have any questions please contact Lynn Moncrief @ lynnmoncrief @bethesdaunited.org. This will be a great time to be had by all!  In addition to a lot of new games, we will enjoy a bounce house and have a balloon artist with us.

Wednesday Night Short Study for Adults

 Join Pastor Dana for a three-week short study: Encountering Grace by Joseph Yoo.  Grace -- understanding, giving and receiving it -- can be a challenge for all of us. Once we truly experience it, we become different people. Real grace is both liberating and contagious. Scripture-based study runs November 1, 8 and 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your Bible!

Chick-Fil-A Night TONIGHT!

Bring out those costumes (or not), and join us tonight at the Chick-Fil-A on Sugarloaf at 316 for Spirit Night.  There will be prizes given for the best costumes, etc.  We need 75 people to attend to receive proceeds on all of the food sold that night during our hours which is 5:00 - 8:00pm.    This is a great and fun fund raiser for our Children's Ministry!  Don't miss it!
