2017 Woman of the Year and Man of the Year!

Congratulations to Carole Martin who was named ‘Woman of the Year’ by the United Methodist Women at their annual Mother-Daughter Dinner.  Carole, daughter of Cleve and Elouise Mauldin, grew up right here at Bethesda UMC.  She and her husband, Felix have two children, Jason (Catherine)  and Camilyn (Chris), and five grandchildren. Carole retired from Gwinnett County School System where she taught at Bethesda Elementary School.  Many of our children had her as their first grade teacher.  Carole has held many positions at Bethesda and has been singing in the Chancel Choir since she was 13.  She is currently Chair of Finance and serves on the Church Conuncil.  Carole, we appreciate so much your service to Bethesda UMC.  Thank you.

Congratulations to Jack Tuttle who was named “Man of the Year” by the United Methodist Men at their annual Father-Daughter Breakfast.  Jack and his wife, Beth have one daughter, Julia who is the highlight of their lives.  Jack is a “behind the scenes” person and does so much for Bethesda.  He works with our Children’s Director whenever needed, not to mention setting up sound for VBS, Wednesday Night Functions, etc.  Jack has served on the Staff Parrish Committee for several years and works with our Student Ministries.  Jack never leaves the church office without asking, is there anything I can do for you.   Thanks Jack for your service to Bethesda UMC.
